There in suspended animation!!!
I have checked their webcam (
http://web.ukonline.co.uk/~chris.west/webcam/ ) over the past few days &
they have been in the same position.
Will someone go poke them with a stick. :)

You gotta understand they started back when rendition was the preferred
video technology. Then, 3dfx overtakes rendition with their voodoo
technology, so they had to basically start all over to optimize for glide.
Then of course, 3dfx went out of business and we're left with d3d and
opengl. I expect they probably have been working hard on optimizing for
GeForce line of cards, but of course now we have GeForce 2 and 3, with 4
right around the corner.
Maybe the had to do a complete graphics rewrite?
:)

LOL!
It's still there, you can see it eyeing up the Pacejka data on the page in
front of it and comparing it to a car setup file open in notepad on the
screen.... :0)

Those aren't humans they're bots,
specifically an early version of the Quake 1 reaperbot, ver 1.0 had a
nasty habit of freezing when the action got thick !!
just open a console run the bot kill command then respawn them,, LOL
