I guess slow hill-climbing and manouvring is simply utter boring on a pc (while very challenging in real life.. I lend a Transporter once from my company and took it for a weekend off-roading, on a field where the Dutch army practice with their tanks.. about $2500 damage after the weekend but I had a damn good time!) FWIW, I think it's a great 4WD game - easily the best available (not that that's saying much). The single player mode offers good 'sim' driving and the 4-player LAN mode is loads of fun!

What is the part 2? The Cabelo's title is definitely not part 2 of Screamer 4x4 according to the Clever's guys. Marc Andre Warringa" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

I got them mixed up indeed.. I was talking about Cabello :-/ I did play Screamer 4x4 however, but I really can't remember how it was like.. says enough I'm affraid :( Andre
Clever's did that title, but said it was a quickie thing they had to produce under a very tight deadline. No cockpit view, e.g. I have the unopened box in front of me. Was waiting to see if I should bother, but with NR2002 arriving yesterday and RT coming soon, I think I'll just return it. I love it to bits. You need a clutch pedal, and a handbrake to really enjoy it though. Its a challenge, so its not for go fast freaks, but its hella fun to bomb around the bush, trying to get up impossible slopes :)
I think it's pretty fun, and it was only $20. It has a neat kind of "fear factor" as when you start to speed up you get a little scared as to what you might encounter over the next crest :) Thanks, Alex "Andre Warringa" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > On Thu, 14 Feb 2002 23:08:22 +1000, "Damien Smith" > <[email hidden]> wrote: > > >FWIW, I think it's a great 4WD game - easily the best available (not that > >that's saying much).
