Joking release dates for WSC turns into Scandinavian chat
Asked about release dates, Dave Henrie said World Sports Cars was due in the autumn, and others joked about imaginary sequels like GPL2. Goy Larsen said NR2002 would reach Norway at the end of the month in small numbers. The thread then became friendly banter in Norwegian, Danish and Swedish about beer, the Winter Olympics and hockey.

Automated summary.
WSC has a release date of this fall. The other two are dead.

Yeah, GPL2 was really bad until they released the first patch. But that didn't
fix the huge bug with disco's when more than 5 cars tried to qualify at the same
time. Too bad they gave up on support so soon. It could have been great -
especially if they had included real cars and driver names.

You obviously haven't tried GPL 2 with the joystick tweak. It's a whole new
game. Way better than WSC, which is just a rip-off of the FIA GT mod version
2.

Just got off the phone with BJ, end of the month apparently, they're not
planning on importing a large quantity, so it may be a good idea to
contact your local shop and place an order for it to make sure they get
one for you, don't think they ordered more than 20 copies or so for
Norway as a whole with N4, and 8 of those was for our shop, not exactly
a major title in Norway :-), even GPL outsold it here by a large margin,
so I guess we can say......"It ain't no GPL" :-)

You can say that again.. I was crazy about EF2000, and in my 'EF2000'
period I made a trip to Norway with a plane. I was amazed at the
similarities of the real landscape vs EF2000's :)

We hired a Swedish coach, it went down hill from then on :-), you might
have heard about the guy, Leif Borck ?
I mean, hiring the guy who was in charge of Sweden's worst performance
in any major championship tells you a lot about the people running the

(and in english)
You might say that ;-)
Unfortunately we didn't perform so well this year in the Olympics in the
Hockey as we should have with our current team.
Talking 'bout downhill, Norway has been doing all right this Olympics,
haven't you? I saw Lasse (Kjus) finish 2'nd, inpressive...

Russia (sp) in the Quarter finals in Hockey.....our Ski Jumpers (I
really don't know what it's called in English :-) was beaten by Korea in
the Team competition......:-)

Too bad nobody got that one! Maybe those scandinavians a tad too much
interested in drinking (they keep talking about beer in the parts they
don't translate) so they forget *everything* else. ;)
