I'm wondering if there needs to be a port open when logging on to a N4
server with a boss password, from behind a firewall. I've opened the usual
ports needed for hosting from behind a firewall.
I can log in fine and skip sessions, but when I end the race and want to go
to the setup screen the game boots me back to the lobby.

When you hit 'back' the first time, it asks if you want to 'Disconnect from
server?' and you should answer 'No' . The next question is 'Want to abandon
race?', answer 'Yes' to this one and it will dump you to the Setup screen.
If you are trying this and it isn't working right, I can't tell anything
else to try.
