To my surprise, after reinstalling WinXP (and only using WindowsUpdate drivers) i have no more sound crackling in NR2002. *shrug* And the sound doesn't cut out anymore when sitting on pit road and revving the engine (from the idling sound to normal engine sound and back)

When I switch to 11k sound it goes away. What do you think- should I get a sound card and if so, what kind? Tim Asus A7V266 Windows 98SE
