OT: New Nvidia drivers question..

After installing the 27.42 drivers I have a icon called Desktop explorer, with Nvidias logo on it. My question is has anyone else noticed this and how do I get rid of it.I tried right clicking it, the only options are, open, explore, and create shortcut..

Open REGEDIT Delete offending item after navigating to it through the FIND function. Have a cup of tea to celebrate :-) Morgan

nope still no luck, Installing the new 27.50s worked. Its now gone, and these drivers are even better!

Have you tried just turning it off from the control panel? The new drivers put another icon in my control panel and on one of the tabs there was something about puting an icon on the desktop. MadDAWG

HI, Have'nt picked up whether you're trying to get rid of drivers or install new ones, but i would recommend having a look at a program called detenator destroyer, used it to install new drivers recently and it went very smooth. mark....................
