I find the term "leaked" to be highly amusing. After all we've had leakage since the version 7 files ...or maybe even earlier....so while they may not be official Nvidia releases, they have had far too many 'leaked' releases to be a real underground file...why not call them what they really are??? Beta files for all of the users to Beta test for them? dave henrie "rik zeppelin" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:eIhe8.13590$[email hidden]...

They use the term "leaked" to make themselves feel better. They also use it for website promotion. -Stuart Becktell "Dave Henrie" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:91je8.21122$[email hidden]... > I find the term "leaked" to be highly amusing. Dave.... Call them what you want......who cares? The "leaked-beta" drivers for Nvidia 3D cards are the best thing to happen to the 3D gaming industry since "sliced bread." IMHO. If you wish to run a system at the cutting edge of 3D technology......these drivers allow you to do that. Once you keep up with the versions over time.....you can quickly ascertain the new/improved features......apply/test them.....and wait for the next set in a week or two. People who download and use these drivers regularly know they are beta testing them for Nvidia....its not a secret and its done with foreknowledge of that fact. I don't see the point in knocking this, Dave....just because you don't have an Nvidia card? If anything, that "may" just makes you feel better about it, like you're in control. :-) You shall assimilate. -- Fester "Is it that we need a nobrainer Linux desktop OS for people with no brains or should people do a little more reading and smarten up?" from alt.linux.mandrake NG
