For all of you that may be interested in running GPL under Linux.
Transgaming is building a DirectX implementation for Linux.
GPL doesn't work at the moment, but its possible if we show enough
interest.
I've added GPL to their games database and If you subscribe to
TransGaming, you can log in and rate the popularity of GPL! The
subsription is $5 for 1 month of downloads, support, and voting
rights. I think this is a small price to pay if we can finally get GPL
to run under Linux.

I've already given this a considerable amount of thought. To be
perfectly honest I don't see how, in a democratic popularity vote of
Linux geeks, GPL would ever stand a chance in hell, you, me and Uwe
notwithstanding.
I'd gladly pay them $100 for a working Linux implementation, but I'm
not really willing to pay them $60 over the course of the next year
for little more than the right to beg them to do it. I can do that for
free.

N2002. I think once any of those three games gets ported, the other two
should come quickly.
