New install of SCGT with v.1.551a patch, when loading a track it crashes to
desktop with a CUBE error: Error locating anim map file C:\PROGRAM
FILES\ELECTRONIC ARTS\SPORTS CAR GT\CLOUDB00.BMP.
I'd appreciate any help.
look on the cd and see if you can find the file and put it with the rest of the
cloud .bmps or try a reinstall from the cd...

Sounds like the infamous 1024x768 error. Try 800x600, if you don't get
the same crash then the fix located here:
http://www.msu.edu/~andreaj/telson/cubeerror.html should work for you.
Or get used to playing in 800x600. ;o)

What does in mean?? Do you know what is wrong???

At least on my version of SCGT there are no.BMP files on the CD nor on the
harddrive. As I understand it they are bundled into .MAS files. This makes
the error message even more frustrating.

sorry
This is driving me nuts! I tried the patch from the link you referred to
and still got the error.
I uninstalled SCGT, reinstalled from scratch, still got the error. Got out,
tried again, did NOT get the error. Got out, tried again DID get the error.
(different tracks give different file names not found).
It's almost enuf to drive me to getting a console!

But the quality isn't
great. 4x AntiAliasing on my Geforce3 doesn't have any effect on the
jaggies. And the in-game mip-mapping causes other graphic weirdness.

said to install the "ban scene.mas" patch first? If you didn't do that,
then that's why it didn't work.
