downloaded the demo, and have only two quick questions:
Can I turn off the stupid steering wheel?
Can I make the cockpit stop "quivering" like I'm driving over
a gravel road? It's making me seasick.
Those are among the reasons why I didn't buy N4, and the only
reasons why I might not buy N2002.
I own Nascar, N2, N1999, N3, ICR, ICR2, GPL, so I'm familiar
with giving papy $$$ and I want n2002, but I need the in-car
view to not suck so much. :)

Yes it's in the graphical options

Yes you can tweak your non-cockpit camera to be at the position of the
driver's with a third-party software. It's pretty weird still that you
prefer the "bolted on car" cameras, as in all your titles you list there is
a form of 3d movement between the cockpit and the track itself (even in the
original Nascar Racing 1).

Yup, you'll need to uncheck the box near the 'Animated Pit Crew' in the
Grahpics setup section, I think it says 'Steering Wheel' or 'Animated
Wheel', I forget.

Hmmm, I doubt it, you may have to go to an outside view. From the in-car
race coverage I have seen this motion is very realistic as very few old
tracks and only some of the newer tracks are super smooth and the bumps in
the tracks are causing this in your view. I like the way it is now since the
bumps appear to be very well modeled and based on the real tracks (bump in
T1 at Atlanta, out of T4 at Michigan, T1 at Darlington, etc) The reason the
cars ride so rough and jostle so bad is that the stiff suspension is what is
needed to go fast.
I have a friend who suffers from motion sickness and he says that Dramamine
helps while driving long events in cockpit view.

Thanks for the info - I figured the demo is often like a "beta" so
things change in the final release.
I guess I found the amount of "bobbing and weaving" in the incar cam
to be too much.
I know what I'll be picking up on the way home from work. :)

Yes. No.
