I've been trying to link up via modem with a friend to play GPL, but so far without success. We have no problem playing SCGT via a connection through Windows Dial-up Server but with GPL I get a "bandwidth mismatch error" or something. Then trying to dial from within the game appears to connect but quickly drops the connection. I know this is probably covered on a number of GPL web sites but I haven't been able to track any down that can help. So if someone could point me to some links or even suggest a solution directly I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks, NF.
Krunch, Make sure that both core.ini files are the same regarding the connection settings. Glenn "Krunch" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:a62fq6$sj5$[email hidden]... > I've been trying to link up via modem with a friend to play GPL, but sofar

Have you tried playing through VROC? One of you acts as host. Set a password and limit it to 2 humans and a few AI. Kev

Bandwidth mismatch errors are usually caused by one person running the bandwidth patch while the other isn't. Check and compare your GPL versions -- Biz "Don't touch that please, your primitive intellect wouldn't understand alloys and compositions and,......things with molecular structures,....and the....." - Ash Krunch <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:a62fq6$sj5$[email hidden]... > I've been trying to link up via modem with a friend to play GPL, but so far > without success. What's the bandwidth patch? I've got GPL v1.2.0.1. "Biz" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:kj5h8.16259$[email hidden]... > Bandwidth mismatch errors are usually caused by one person running thebandwidth patch while the
