Why would I have to open and close my CD drive to get DTRSC to start?
I have an AMD Duron/1000 - nVidia TnT2 M64 - Win2000
I have the DTRSC V1.01 patch installed.
I'm starting in Win98 compatibility mode (Thanks MadDAWG).
I have Direct3D selected in DTRSC startup.
When I start DTRSC I see the company logos - the Ratbag Graffiti movie
then a blank screen. It will stay that way unless I do something.
This is the weird part.
When I open and close the CD drive with the DTRSC disk loaded the intro
movie starts
and everything works great.
It seem like I read about someone else having a problem like this but I
can't find the article in the archives.
Could you tell me what a "Command Line Option program" is. I would love to
do it on mine. The game will only read from my lowest letter cd drive, which
is my dvd drive.

Check -nointro and -nolaunch
with Command Line Option program.
I don't need to open and close the CD tray anymore.
Now I'm off to learn how to race online.

MadDAWG
I didn't install a "no-cd" patch. I still need the CD in the drive.
-nolaunch stops the video card selection at startup (mine uses 3D Direct).
-nointro stops the intro logos and movie (cool movie but once is enough).
The Command Line Option program is in the same directory as the DTRSC.EXE.
I might try the "no-cd" patch. However, keeping the CD in the drive is not
a big problem for me right now.
