there was one heck of a movie, someon posted a link to and all I can remember was the tittle was "another day in GPL" or similiar to that. This was AWESOME video in WMV format. So why hasn't, after let's see nr1,2,99,3,4 and now NR2002 Papy be persuaded to make a seperate Replay viewer or converter for them?? I have GPL also, so Id say Ive spent the enourmous 6 x 50 bucks apiece (average) and honestly think it is time PAPY could do that for us Simracers & webmasters... Sure I wont be able to do the super neato stuff the author of above did in his movie but at least I might be able to show to others just WHY we have so much fun racing! Also it could be used as a training tool and for websites... I tried the gpl to avi for NR4, havent tried it for 2002. has anyone? One more question... I have a "super computer" (lol I mean 3 times more ram, HD and better vid card & faster 2Ghz vs 850mhz WinXP machine) at work and I'd like to play with the replays on it when I have free time. SO my question is this, can I use the DEMO versions of the n4 game to view n4 replays? same goes for 2002? Sure would save me some headaches of carting my CD to and from work, I guess I could get a briefcase so no one notices it LOL! but I cringe at the idea of forgetting the CD at work, and since I cant get in the builing after hours, once I have left, not being able to race when I get home... --some will flame, --Plowboy

Big lack in F1 2001 as well. I don't understand why EA's Superbike games have had amazing replay abilities for a long time and F1 2001 has this lame windowed replay system with poor visuals and camera angles. There's nothing more satisfying than enjoying a "Movie" style replay of your performance.
I think everyone at one time or another has requested a replay saver to video, but for whatever reason they won't comply. Just think of the free advertising they would get ! You post a few AVI's on the web showing some sort of massive wreck on the backstraight at Dega, with cars rolling and flying through the air, and every kid who see's it will bug their parents until it's bought :) -Larry "Sting32" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:91uh8.6317$[email hidden]... > there was one heck of a movie, someon posted a link to and all I can > remember was the tittle was "another day in GPL" or similiar to that. This > was AWESOME video in WMV format. The reason is probably the same reason as *any* feature gets "left out" - either they never thought of it (possible) or they didn't have time or budget (likely). Deadlines are awful things...
Larry... No I meant the other one :), Thanks for agreeing with me, usually I get flames for wondering out loud, about anything that is "hardcore Sim Experience" supporting, yet Im amazed that Im not completely off base when I ask the questions and others to reply. Did you see that GPL movie I am talking about? dang it, I been trying to find it again to post the link... everyone is missing out on a great movie, even though it is GPL :) j/k I love GPL... I got to find some of those updates nice wheels and lots of changes/patches were shown in the video... (I saved it to disk) Almost makes you think someone got GPL 2 from what I remember of mine with voodoo2 card. I'll keep looking for the link you got to see it.
It's been requested since Nascar Racing 2. They have HAD time :) If they haven't thought of it, others have thought of it for them. A lot :) The Macintosh version of Nascar Racing had a GREAT feature where you could save a replay as a QuickTime file. We should be able to do the same, except maybe to AVI or something. -Larry "Rob Adams" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:QKPh8.6571$Qq1.35518@shaw-ty2...
