Where are you finding this update? I went to EA's US site & drew a blank on
a patch for F1 2001.

Just downloaded everything from EA.
I read the notes for update 2, and those for update 1&2 combined.
In the 1&2 update it mentions fixing split axes problems, but not in update
2.
I have already applied the first patch, but now I'm wondering if I should
clean install and apply the 1&2 patch instead.
Anyone know anything about this?
Thanks.
R.
Looking in the wrong place. Found it at:

I
would assume it was a typo in the subject line. However, there also is
most likely a 2002 carset for 2001, make sense?

The 2002
season patch is just new car and driver files, it should not be affected
by which version of the program you are using.

work, I tried the split axes. No fix. Still a huge deadzone in the pedals.
Went back to combined axes :(. I just cannot drive a car with digital
throttle.

I don't have any connection with the mod or patch makers so I don't know
how one effects the other, but,
I always do all patches before mods....so install f1 2002, then patch(using
either the #1 & #2 updates or the all in one patch) then install the gt mod,
then install the 2002 carset.
Hopefully somebody 'in the know'(helllloooo Ian) can confirm this.

Well, I had nothing but trouble with some of the '2002 updates' regardless
of the installation order. Crashing back to the desktop was a regular thing,
so I use the 2001 season with 1.0.7.6, revised tracks and cars, and have no
problems at all.

Installing the no-cd .exe after the installing the new patch has been the
solution for many.
Game loaded fine for me with and without the no-cd.

For those that don't realise, the patch only changes the exe, so you only
have to download the no-cd exe - not the patch as well.
Where can I get the "no-cd" patch? I am expecting f1/2001 to be delivered
next week and I want to be ready. I have f1/2000 but put it on the shelf
shortly after installing it a year ago. I hope f1/2001 is a lot better. I
already downloaded the 2 patches, which I thought were for f1/2000. :-)
