24 hours of Le Mans

I'm not sure, but it sounds to me like this is the Dreamcast/PS2 version being released for the PC. The DC/PS2 version was made by Melbourne House (who did the excellent arcade racer, Deathkarz). The old PC version of TDLM was made by Eutechnyx, and it was NOWHERE near as good as the DC version, IMO. The DC version wasn't a hardcore sim physics-wise, but it was a VERY good simulation of what the LeMans experience must be like. Decent racing, too. -- JB "Jay J" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:<MvTh8.392$Yv2.32@rwcrnsc54>... > Noticed this URL over on Blackhole's site > http://www.gamefaction.com/news/101551923427303.shtml > Linking to an article on Infogrames "new" 24 hours LeMans game. > > Isn't this the same game released in 2000 for the PC and console called > "Test Drive LeMans"?
anybody know if this game has an in car cockpit view? **** "Here we are on a planet moving and spinning though space at 500 miles per second...and look...my beer stays right there in the glass! Ain't that just the neatest thing?" -- Bob 'Spaceman' Lee interviewed by Dick Schaap (quote approximate)
Yes read somewhere that it is the DC/PS2 game, ported to the P.C, Anything will be an improvement on the last one. leesee "jbodin" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

The DC version did not have a proper cockpit, but it did have a "cowl" or "hood-cam" view (in addition to the usual chase views and the front "bumper cam" view). The cowl view is very usable -- you can see your fenders, and it does a good job of reproducing the feel of the open-cockpit cars, IMO. -- JB [email hidden] (TlgtrProd) wrote in message news:<[email hidden]>...
