TOCA Race Driver 3 is reportedly been released. The bad news is that
Codemasters is still using Starforce protection on their software. The
pics and movies look pretty decent. You can race anything from go
carts, dirt modifieds,4x4 trucks, muscle cars to street modifieds to F1 cars.
But starforce protection, come on. I cant risk another system to this
system destroyer.

'breaks' anything?

The contest is over and it was a BS contest anyway. They said you had
to prove SF physically damages the DVD-RW drive. No one has claimed
that that I have seen. Starforce has been shown to stop some burners
from being able to burn disks until SF is removed, there are some
other claims but I have listed one and that is reason enough not to
trust SF. I have some SF protected games but I won't buy any more.
Ubisoft even say on the box to their recent games with Starforce that
the CP software may not be compatible with all burners and virtual
drives. If Starforce was problem free, as these shills claim, then why
would they state that fact on the box? Oh, and don't expect your old
Starforce protected games to run on Vista either unless the publisher
releases a patch to make them do so.
Just last week some guy said SF broke 2 drives.... Proof of anything doesnt
matter to you or any of your conspiracy theorist brethren... You'll just
wiggle into another senseless and stupid diatribe about SF being the devil
incarnate without proof of anything...
Just wait a few years and you will look back on SF as a very convenient copy
protection scheme. Its going to get worse and you fools/crooks are the
reason not the answer...

Hi, FYI you've got a software problem with your ng reader/poster - it's
putting in capital "M"s where there should be capital "B"s. HTH. Have a
nice day.

I want to see what this game is about. There's a lot of different types of
cars to drive, but this stupid unlocking limits things.
Anyone got a freakin' cheat? :)

I can state that it affected the operation of my CDRW drive. I was not
able to select but a 16X write speed on a 40X drive after a few months
after startforce install. I removed the starforce protection and
immediately upon reboot, it showed that I could write at 40X speed.. Can
you explain that coincidence?
Regardless, Toca Race Driver 3 (getting back on the subject matter)
looks very nice. I would download the demo (which is now available) but
alas, it has starforce protection too. I guess the only option to test
it would be to download the protection removed version since they have
now figured out how to remove this trash from the game.
Its a shame when you want to purchase a worthy game but cant due to
products installed that can harm your sytem
Has anyone downloaded the demo yet??? How does it handle? Are the
physics better than GTL ??? THanks for any input.

The Toca series is arcade and GTL is considered a simulation so you
are not going to get better physics in Toca3 than you get with GTL. If
you want lots of different cars to drive and good physics then you
should get yourself a copy of rFactor. rFactor also has no Starforce
like Toca3 and GTL does.
