Announcing the 13 April RASCAR race at Pocono and Charlotte
EldredP announced the next RASCAR race at Pocono followed by Charlotte, with fixed fast setups, yellows on and a 4pm Eastern start. Phil Lee assembled a RASCAR car set and opponent list from uploaded cars, and newcomers asked how to join and whether dial-up was fast enough.
Automated summary.

Yeah... simply put: If you know about the race, you gotta be a RAS'er and
you have thereby passed the drivers test ;)

Haven't been to Pocono since I raced there with you and Uncle Fester. Going
to have to practice, so what kind of times do you guys put up with the

stable connection. See the modem faq at www.vroc.net (different game, but
the same principles apply).

I'm totally down with a Pocono race.

I think we're probably going to stay with fixed <fast> setups since a number

I did some practicing tonight and had a best of 55.6 at Pocono with the Papy
<fast> setup at 70 degrees and no wind. When the tires started to go off I
was mostly in the 56's.
Don't know about Charlotte yet.

As a reminder, I have uploaded all the car files sent in so far (13) to the
RSC server. The zip file also contains an opponent list file RASCAR.lst to
allow you to view and race against just the RASCAR drivers by se;ecting it
in the Opponent Manager screen. If you want to see other people's cars get
them here:
http://www.racesimcentral.com/downloads/nr2002/cars/RASCAR/RASCAR.zip
The following numbers have been claimed already and car files provided.
Please try to avoid using them when joining the race:
6: John Pancoast
7: Ginger Fletcher
13: M Gram-Hansen
19: David G Fisher
22: Phil Lee
31: Greg Lyde
39: B Fellenbaum
43: Jon Simmons
49: ZZ Busch
53: Isotrip
113: Tony Rickard
120: Estop
128: Achim Trensz
Please upload your car files and claim your car number in the RASCAR forum
at:
