I just got a copy of Crouching Tiger, and although I had seen it before, tonight I was struck by all the similarities to another movie, The Princess Bride... Just two quick examples before bed...in the PB there is a man(Inigo Montoya) who spent much of his life trying to avenge his murdered father, but failing...In CT the Mu Bai spent along time trying to find the killer of his master, but looses hope. Further in PB there is a man(the Man in Black aka the Dread Pirate Roberts) who, although he really is a nice guy...must project a personna of remorselessness other-wise his life will be much harder and it will be work work work all time...similarly, the Desert Bandit Dark Cloud, a good fellow who relies on a bad reputation to do most of his fighting for him.... I could go on..but it's late...work tomorrow...have fun a Pocono. dave henrie
Yes, but does CT have a bunch of great one-liners aka Bride ? That movie was a real sleeper IMO, great stuff. -John "Dave Henrie" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:qxQt8.19839$CH1.18110@sccrnsc02... > I just got a copy of Crouching Tiger, and although I had seen itbefore, > tonight I was struck by all the similarities to another movie, ThePrincess > Bride...
