I run a linearity setting any where between 15 to 30 %. Do you guys change wheel calibration (linearity) when you move from track to track, especially from a short track to a SS? Could you give me an example of the degree of change you make between tracks? What linearity do you run at a short track, such as Martinsville, and what would be the change when switching to a SS such as Tal? I am really only interested in linearity as it applies to the TSW. I know it differs dramatically from wheel to wheel. Also, I currently have the ball bearing shaft on the TSW, and while I like the feel I am thinking of going back to the stock version. With the ball bearing version I seem to be have more difficulty controlling the quarter to half lane drift I seem to have when on the straight-away on SS. Any suggestion appreciated. Thanks for your help. ABE

I use as little as 18 around a road course or short track, to around 25 at mid-size tracks such as Rockingham, to max at 32 for the plate tracks. On Sun, 14 Apr 2002 08:43:49 -0400, "ABE" <[email hidden]> wrote:

Wow, that low. I use 70% linearity at most tracks and 60% at SS. I then play with the steering ratios, depending on the tracks. I have a Stock TSW with ball bearing. I bought a 15" Grant Winston cup style wheel (separatly) and am pretty happy with it. The ball bearing shaft does need some getting used to, but I wouldn't go back to my old setup. ABE wrote:

Oops...my bad. I didn't read close enough, and thought Abe was talking steering ratio, which is what I quoted. I don't generally change my linear settings. It's set at 20 for all tracks. On Sun, 14 Apr 2002 19:46:06 -0400, Philster <[email hidden]> wrote:

I was going to say the same thing. I have mine even higher at 85 - 90% most of the time on my TSW2 Modified. -- Scott B.
