I am getting a nasty "crackling-staticy" sound over the top of my spotter. I have tried the one with the game and an addon one..you can hear but it is fuzzy. Other sounds all seem fine. Using an AOpen 850 card with the newest drivers I could find...anybody have any suggestions? **** "Here we are on a planet moving and spinning though space at 500 miles per second...and look...my beer stays right there in the glass! Yep, wait for the patch like the rest of us. You've been chosen, like me, to beta test Papy's newest Nascar game. Fuggin sux but its a known and common sound issue. Here's a few things to try.......... In your Core.ini file under [sound] 'force_default_buffer_size=0 change the 0 to 6. Try turning off 3d sound. Set "Max sounds played" to 8. -- Dave Trager [dt racing] http://home.webuniverse.net/dtrager/dtracing/home.htm "TlgtrProd" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > I am getting a nasty "crackling-staticy" sound over the top of my spotter. You have an AOpen card, too? How common IS that, anyway...? Eldred -- Homepage - http://www.umich.edu/~epickett GPLRank - under construction... Okay, so the Detroit Tigers finally won a game. But is 1-11 *really* something to get excited over...? Remove SPAM-OFF to reply.
Nah. all cards pretty much. Goto the sierra forum. There is a admin post asking for particulars. I've tried 3 different Mfg cards with 3 different chipsets. There are a few solutions like the one provided in this thread to the original post. None work really well.
