I'll second that. I bought the regular MS wheel(no FF) just over a year ago and haven't looked back. Dan Leach wrote:

> getting a wheel is > the most important purchase ever :) That statement just called up the funniest juxtaposition of imaegs. I couldn't help thinking of one of my gradeschool teachers explaining to her wide-eyed students about 'man's greatest technological invention... 'the wheel'! If only our distant homo sapien ancestors knew.... :-) 'So I'm thinking of bartering for a wheel....whaddaya think?' 'Oh, you gotta do it... those things are great...I've got two myself' 'Trying to convince the wife...you know how it is....' 'Ha! I'll say...' 'So what are the physics like on those things anyway?' 'Very realistic... bit sluggish in the turns still, but they're getting better every millenium ' 'So they're pretty sturdy, though?' 'Hey, let me tell ya Jack, 3 tons of pure granite each is nothing to sneeze at my friend'

I was very lucky to get a Sidewinder FF wheel on ebay last week and as the seller only lived 3 miles away, I picked it up personally and saved on postage. Dont get carried away on the auctions, stick to a max price ,or watch a few auctions ...MS FF wheels went for around $B!r(B30-36 but always consider that youll have to pay thge postage on it too.I waited about 4 months until the one I got appeared but it was worth it. GPL ,N4 are completley different games to me now and I'm having to learn to play them all over again as my previous wheel had no pedals. The missus had a go of it and it was hilarious when she hit the wall in N4 and the wheel jerked out of her grip. She didnt know about FF capabilites and got such a shock she jumped out of the chair "ss" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:A81w8.39$[email hidden]...

Depends how cheap it is. Here in Australia, both the Logitech Formula Force and the Thrustmaster Ferrari Forcefeedback GT (aka Nascar Pro FF) wheels retail cheaper than the MS FF wheel. I've tried all of them and imo, the Thrustmaster is the best of the lot, with the Logitech coming in close behind, and the MS wheel a distant third. The MS wheel just didn't feel as precise as the other two imo. Another bonus is that the Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels can be used on the PS2 too. GT3 is great with a good FF wheel :) The MS wheel has great pedals though. "Dan Leach" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:a9q3ub$5ebkv$[email hidden]... > yeah the MS is the best cheap wheel. Let me just throw in a plug for Logitech and The MoMo force feedback. The wheel is well made, and most importantly the tech support from the MoMo Team is excellent. Some of the best support I've seen from any tech company. (No I don't work for them-I just use Logitech products.)

Bought a MS sidewinder FF. Wish now i had eiter paid more for the MOMO or less for the TM. Maybe it's just years ofTM but this MS feels so "notchy" its tough to get a feel for it.
