RASCAR Roster Update

RASCAR roster grows; are the races LPI-rated?

John Simmons froze the roster before the weekend races, and David G Fisher noted that RASCAR had grown rapidly. Tim Wortman of the NASSCAR league joined, and some questioned whether EldredP's server counted towards Sierra ratings, which others confirmed it did after losing LPI. The thread also covered a first-lap Talladega wreck and where stock-car numbers should go on a paint scheme.

Of course, on the good side, you can cop an attitude aout everything with everyone, and be justified in doing so because you're (temporarily) a citizen of the US... :) -- ========================================================= DeMONS/1 for Nascar Racing 3 & Nascar Legends http://www.paddedwall.org/demons DeMONS/2 for Nascar Racing 4 and 2002 Season (in development) http://www.paddedwall.org/demons2 RASCAR Roster http://www.paddedwall.org/rascar Redneck Techno-Biker & "programming deity" http://www.paddedwall.org/john Barbarian Diecast Collector (460+ cars and counting) http://www.paddedwall.org/diecast If you want to send me email, go to the first URL shown above & click "Send Me Mail" in the contents frame. =========================================================
RASCAR has really taken off this past week for some reason. Thanks John, Phil, and Eldred for organizing everything and providing the server. I guess the only problem we might have is that some people could get shut out of filled race. :-o David Fisher "John Simmons" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

That was before you went racing with this gang :-) Beers and cheers (uncle) Goy "The Pits" http://www.theuspits.com/ "A man is only as old as the woman he feels" --Groucho Marx--

Like Tony Stewart at Daytona, blew a motor on lap 2, should they have red flagged it so they could change the motor so he could get back in it?? Im sure he had a shot at winning............ "Ed Solheim" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:l%Gy8.7047$[email hidden]...

From my replay, it looked like a few cars bumped each other going into T3 and ended up causing the wreck you got caught up in. Bad luck. But I don't believe the epickett server is setup for ratings....saw no ratings messages in chat after the race completed. He needs to adjust the [SIERRA_SERVER] section of the player.ini on the host machine. Otherwise anything that transpires in these races does not affect LPI. After dega yesterday, thank God for that. I was in the middle of the pack most of the day, and seems like I got caught in the aftermath of nearly every wreck. Tim Wortman North American Simulation Series www.nasscar.com

Oh, but it is setup for ratings. Despite my rather poor finish, I attained a "skill" of 1 and my LPI only fell by 0.5. -- ========================================================= DeMONS/1 for Nascar Racing 3 & Nascar Legends http://www.paddedwall.org/demons DeMONS/2 for Nascar Racing 4 and 2002 Season (in development) http://www.paddedwall.org/demons2 RASCAR Roster http://www.paddedwall.org/rascar Redneck Techno-Biker & "programming deity" http://www.paddedwall.org/john Barbarian Diecast Collector (460+ cars and counting) http://www.paddedwall.org/diecast If you want to send me email, go to the first URL shown above & click "Send Me Mail" in the contents frame. =========================================================

Um, yes it IS setup for rating. If your rating didn't get affected, then you got lucky somehow... The races so far have been 0-10. I may start setting higher ratings for certain races. It took us about an hour and 45 minutes to go the 3 miles to the next exit... Grrrr... Well, I have a SS rating of *1*, so I could set it at least THAT high. What are YOU complaining about? You finish ahead of enough people to improve even in THESE races...<g> Eldred -- Homepage - http://www.umich.edu/~epickett A friend of mine is involved in a fund-raiser walk-a-thon for research to cure breast cancer.
