Yes, it does this on many of the track, if not all. And unfortunately, it
wasn't addressed in the patch :( Try Martinsville for a hoot.

One day I'll convince myself that the same applies to "Driven" and see
that one as well, but Sly as a CART driver.....?

I didn't care for it that much, but it beats the hell out of "Driven".
What a pile of crap that movie was.

in a 40 lapper at Sears today, the yellow flag came out just before I was
crossing the s/f line (the lights between hairpin and s/f straight had still
been on green when I passed them, but the flagman showed the yellow as I
approached him).
Since I was at full speed driving through a corner, I needed a few meters to
slow down, but did so immediately and waited for the pacecar uphill through
the T1/T1a section, orderly driving at probably around 30-35mph on the far
right hand side of the track to give the pacecar room to pass me.
And then the pacecar came - flying towards me like an F14, staying firmly on
the right hand side of the track, precisely on the line I'm on, and without
as much as the slightest attempt at braking or avoiding me, rams me off the
track, so hard that I get catapulted 10 meters up high into the air and fly
as far as behind the tire barrier :-)
I was pleased after the race to see that at least I didn't get blamed for
the incident <g>
I actually finished the race after calling the tow truck, sitting in the
pits for 3 mins while the other cars were under yellow (I'd had a headstart
of a lap from the guy in second). The pitcrew worked miracles in getting the
car (car - what am I saying. It looked like modern art rather than like a
car) back onto its 4 tires and the hood out of my field of vision :-)

P.s.: for anyone interested, I have a replay (about 400KB).
