Just a wild guess here, but are you running any firewalling software? Because the first time I ran PRD, my firewall came up and said PRD was trying to send out a broadcast packet. I had to allow that and then a response on a different port before it worked properly. I'm using Kerio Personal Firewall, if you are using something else like Black Ice or ZoneAlarm it is possible that you are getting a page fault when it tries to interrupt PRD. Now remember, like its been mentioned, it runs at DEFAULT at an insanely high resolution. 1200x1600 I think. Back it down to 1024 or (EECCKKK!) 800 and see if its any better. NOPE, just removed everything from the background with exception of WIN98 needed 'Explorer' and Startup.
