I refuse to watch 60 minutes.... Don't read tabloids and certainly don't
watch tabloid news programs. (something about Audi 5000's, unintended
acceleration, and misreporting facts.)

You and I both Tim; only thing 60 minutes does well is heavy film editing
to distort facts/support their point-of-view on X subject, which they go
into every show segment, with the express purpose of doing what ever it
takes to support it.
Everything bad about journalism, is found in each episode of this rag.
Speaking from personal experience; in the 80's, they did an episode of the
elk hunting in Grand Teton Park. I was a Ranger there at that time, working
the hunt. Having seen the interviews filmed, and then having seen the
edited versions on the actual show, disgusted doesn't begin to describe it.
Only things factual were the place names.
They came in with an anti-hunting attitude, and did everything they could
to their filming to support it.
Haven't watched an episode since.

I agree. I used to think the 60 Min crew were crusading investigative
reporters. Over the years, it became obvious that they're just another
slavering bunch of pandering hucksters chasing the next JFKJr. sob story.
I'm surprised they haven't ressurected the old streetcorner tabloid
headline" "Spit Found in Coca-Cola!" Ed Murrow must be spinning in his
grave....
