The guy wasn't trying to force 60min II down your throats or anything. The
point was to watch the Michael Schumacher feature and that was it. I have
never watched 60min II in my life until then, and I don't plan on it now.
It was just a neat feature is all.
His comments about the Indy 500 were priceless....

"Here we are on a planet moving and spinning though space at 500 miles per
second...and look...my beer stays right there in the glass! Ain't that just
the neatest thing?" - Bill 'Spaceman' Lee interviewed by Dick Schaap (quote
approximate)
I don't remember his exact words, but the person doing the interview asked
if he ever wanted to race in the Indy 500, and he responded with no, that
series is inferior to F1, and is way too dangerous, and not worth the risk.
All obvious comments of course, but just funny to hear him say them I guess.

He just wouldn't want people to compare him with JPM's masterful
performance there so he has to try & dog it out. ;-)

Yes, he said it wasn't a challenge and that it's a step down from F1. He
also said that people who cannot survive in F1 go to Indy, and Indy drivers
who come to F1 rarely survive.
It actually was one of the best pieces on F1 that I've ever seen. He took
Charlie Rose on a drive at the Ferrari test track in a Maserati at 140mph.
They talked about F1 in general (like over 300 million viewers per race
-) ), the amount of money involved, the technology, his achievements, his
earnings, what he thinks of while racing (his family!?!?), and many other
things. He said the thing that seperates him from other drivers is his
ability to enter a corner faster than they do. Mario Andretti talked about
his incredible car control.
It was a good mixture of actual auto racing talk, and personal info.

"The car maker employs more than 550 people to work exclusively on the
