V8 Challenge - Disappointing

Sounds are terrible. Menu layouts look amatuerish. Only 4 Australian tracks BATHURST IS MISSING "THE DIPPER" Another arcade racer IMHO. 3 attempts of a Bathurst/V8 game haven't fully whacked the nail on the head, let's see how Race Car Driver goes.

I still think it has promise.. dissapointed about the number of starters on the grid (13 I think?), just wondering how moddable this game is going to be to put the whole grid on the track. Dissapointed about the dipper as well, I still remember going around Bathurst in my XWGT and seeing the track dissapear underneath the bonnet and thinking... 'Oh shit' when I'm ontop of it clocking 80! Cheers, Rod.

The screenshots told about the track inaccuracies etc, dont know how modifyable it will be, seeing as tho EA made it, but not sure if its based on SCGT/F12000/1/2. I agree, but the thing I hate most is the steering, it's shocking. Had a fiddle with setting etc, FF off. N4 & NR2002 is a joy after V8 Challenge, might try my MS wheel instead of the Logi FF. Ehm I disagree i thought STCC2 was wicked still is But then again I havent tried GPL Yet, Havent been able to find it here in Calgary, Canada. Same people that made STCC2 made V8, I've made complaints about STCC2 in the past so didn't expect much from V8, but it sounds worse than STCC2 if it only has 4 tracks.

There's really only 3 sims out there that I consider worth playing at the moment and they are GPL, Nascar 2002 and F1200X.

I like good sims... and clearly those titles don't fit into that category... It's not a sim, but better than an arcade racer. The dipper is there, it's just not a steep as I'd prefer (and I do know the dipper, spent 4 days working there in '99) I'd steepen the dipper and remove a little of the drop at Forrest Elbow. But it's the best we;ve seen yet and it's about 85% accurate.
