I know others have noticed this, but has anyone got a fix/workaround?
My LWFF feels as if it has an enormous deadzone - it's +/- 60 degrees or so
before I get any change in the direction of the wheels. To compound the
problem, the sensitivity beyond this point is extremely high. I gave up
driving with the wheel after spending an hour bouncing from one side of the
road to the other...
This game is crying out to be driven with a wheel in-car, and controlled
with mouse/keyboard on foot. Whatever possessed Rockstar to think that wheel
owners would be happy to shell out 30 notes in order to drive with keys??!
I'll stop there before I get into full rant mode, (Italian Job, anyone?),
but would greatly appreciate help from anyone who can.
Cheers,
Rick.
PS - Tried making a profile for the game and adjusting sensitivity etc -
didn't seem to make a difference.
this game wasnt intended to be used with a wheel

I couldn't get my wheel working in GTA3, but to be honest I didn't try
very hard, this game should be played with a gamepad or keyboard
indeed.
Andre
I have the PS2 version. I really cant see how a wheel would be useful in
this game. When I play I'm at least out of the car half the time, gunning
people down ;)
BTW, GTA: Vice City was just announced yesterday for the PS2, due sometime
in October :D

I agree, it would be really great if there was more robust wheel
support, and the game was a little more sim-like in it's driving mode.
It is a big pain to switch back and forth when you get in/out of a
vehicle, though, and if you spend some time getting used to
keys/gamepad, you really stop missing your wheel, the rest of the game
completely compensates.
