Can anyone help me with the following..?
After getting the new computer up and running, I've reinstalled and
overcopied the GPL folder with my backed-up version. All seems to be ok as
far as actually running the prog goes, but there are two odd things
happening.
1. Regardless of level of detail, resolution etc, the frame rate seems
pegged at 24, and never gets up to the 36fps I used to get on the old
system, (an Athlon 900 - new processor is a P4 2.2 - what's going on?!)
2. My LWFF seems to have become hyper sensitive - as if full lock is
registered at about +/- 15 degrees of actual movement.
Anyone else had these problems, or able to point me in the direction of some
fixes?
Thanks in advance,
Rick.
Did you apply the GPL patch for the higher speed CPU? Have you check for
the latest graphics card drivers from the manufacturer's web site? If not,
with Windows XP you're using the in-box drivers which were furnished by all
the manufacturers nearly a year ago, before XP went on the shelves. Only
the manufacturers' site will offer "full" drivers, which include things like
OpenGL support.

Cheers, Chris - forgot about the high-speed CPU fix. That's certainly fixed
the frame rate issue, and control is better, although it's still more
sensitive than it used to be. I'll keep looking..!
Thanks again,
Rick.
I believe you can make adjustments in the core.ini file (SIERRA/GPL
directory) under [ Joy ], but I don't have a LWFF, so wouldn't hazard a
guess at the settings.
