I am selling my system, whats a good price for it on Ebay? Just bought a new system and need to sell this one. Dell P4 with New 1.9ghz, extra P4 1.5ghz processor New PNY Ti4600 Geforce 4 128meg card 384meg PC800 40gig HD DVD CDR/W THX System with Certified Altec Lansing with Remote Santa Cruz sound card Brand New in Box Dell 17" Flat Panel Monitor Brand New Fuji Digital Camera 1.3mega pixels Windows XP Software Included: Papyrus Nascar Racing 4 XTREAME Air Racing Flanker 2.5 Jetfighter IV Microsoft Motocross Madness 2 Microsoft Office Professional Activision Soldier of Fortune II JEDI OUTCAST Half-Life Game Net Match Tennis Game Janes USAF Total Home 3D Fly2 About 7gig of MP3's
It might be worth $800 to someone, but I wouldn't count on any more than that. Used computers and their parts just don't hold their value. Morris Jones wrote:

Got to be worth more than that, the FP monitor alone is $700.00 I've seen alot less systems go on ebay for $1700 and up with just a CRT monitor. "mracer" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Unless they are Mac's. Mac's have an astonishing ability to retain their resale value. -Larry "mracer" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

I would sell your monitor and camera seperately. As for the MP3's, they don't hold any retail value. If you actually own that software (retail/boxed versions) I would take it all to a software store that does consignment. If you don't have the original software, it's similar to the MP3's....no resale value. "Morris Jones" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Basically what they are trying to say is take the thing to pieces and sell it bit by bit. You will get a lot more money for it that way for two reasons... a) People who buy computer parts (as opposed to computers) know their real retail value ("384MB RAM? What does that mean? That's a bit expensive for only 384 of them") b) You can sell each piece for a good price rather than the whole at a reasonable price, but if it's instant cash you're after this doesn't work. This is actually quite common business practice. You watch and learn as Enron sell all their corporate assets in a variety of auctions. As for the MP3s, they have no retail value as they are illegal and dependant on taste. A hard drive full of Shania Twain MP3s are of no commercial value to me unless I get a free copy of Monster Truck Madness with it. But I'd have to agree that they don't hold there value, today's Slot-A 750MHz T-Bird Athlon is tomorrow's chip paper. On this topic, how much for Office Pro? I leant my copy to someone and never saw it again. Chris "Jonathan Diehl" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Put a bit of coloured cellophane on it then... pastels work best. Chris "Larry (The Other Larry)" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:MrPT8.98414$[email hidden]...
