r.a.s. regulars plan meetups at Goodwood Festival of Speed

Group members listed who would attend the 2002 Goodwood Festival of Speed and how to recognise each other. Glenn Read described a GPL marquee raising money for the Whizz Kidz charity, and Doug Milliken said his father Bill would run his 1960s MX-1 research car. The West brothers were rumoured to attend, prompting jokes about WSC still being under construction.

I would love to go (my brother in law's dad turning 60 that weekend, in London, but I'll be on a family holiday then. 8-( Anyway, those of you who will make it please give my regards to any half-way famous race driver you meet, and of course Chris and Tony ;-) Uwe -- Uwe Schuerkamp //////////////////////////// http://www.schuerkamp.de/ Herford, Germany \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ (52.0N/8.5E) PGP Fingerprint: 2E 13 20 22 9A 3F 63 7F 67 6F E9 B1 A8 36 A4 61
Bill Milliken, my father (and senior author of our books), will be there running the adjustable-suspension research car he built in the early 1960's. It was recently renovated and hopefully will be running well. It's called MX-1, painted a nice orange-brown and has the classic open-wheel "cigar" shape of the mid-engine formula cars of the day...but everthing else is _completely_ different, as you will see on your very first look! If you meet him in the paddock, please mention that you see my posts on the 'net. Since I'm not going this year, I want to read some event reports here!! -- Doug Milliken www.millikenresearch.com On Fri, 5 Jul 2002, Ashley McConnell wrote:

Ahhh, not been in here for a while, but I'm going to be at Goodwood on the Friday too. Would be good to meet up with some of you guys- particularly Ash! I'll look out for the GPL marquee. And blimey- a 'Milliken' is going to be there too :-). Was delving into one of their books only yesterday! Neil

It works for the game, the web page, and hopefully (*if* the game is ever released) it will stand for the user mods.
