GPL very,very slow under XP

After installing GPL, the 1.2 UK patch, 3D patch and the CPU fix, GPL runs very, very slow under XP. I turned on the indexing service (properties/advanced) Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Adrie Broek

Driver issues? * 3d board drivers updated (obviously)? * Soundcard? -- try turning *off* hardware sound acceleration, or upgrading drivers, for instance. * FF wheel? -- I've seen GPL crawl to a halt on systems with "bad" FF controller drivers.

XP works just fine for me with GPL Biz, If you're using NTFS as you're file system turn indexing on though .. If you upgraded from 95/98/ME make sure to get the most current XP drivers for you're Video card and sound card. These two components seem to cause the most grief.
