I have GPL running on a system with XP and SBLlive Gamer. I do hav ethe static but I have found a way around it. If i start a race and I hear the staic I simply press F2 to go to replay and let it play a while. Press ESC and the PAUSE to get the game going again and viola no static. I get a similar problem on & off, and it seems to be connected to the corrupted graphics problem with the gplea updated cars. As long as I avoid having an eagle (or Ferrari or Honda) in view when I enter the circuit or switch between replay & normal, the sound (& graphics) are okay. When I'm online I usually go to the pitlane camera before changing screens. Malc.
