I have the original wheel. Will it work (force feedback on EA's F1 2001) with XP? Thanks! -- [email hidden]
It should but you need the patches to enable FF in F1 2001 dave henrie "Greg Cisko" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:3d4219d0$[email hidden]...

It will, but the game will run very slowly with FF enabled. The problem only occurs in Win2K and WinXP - in Win9X it runs just as fast with FF enabled. Newer Logitech wheels don't have this problem... -- Damien Smith [email hidden] ICQ: 77028579 F1 2001 rank: -11.512
Thanks guys! I already have the patches from many months ago... -- [email hidden] Eden <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:9%q09.7619$[email hidden]... > > No prob at all if you patch like Dave says. > > I have that exact set-up and it's A1 ! > > Denis > >
SO if I get the new MOMO wheel, it will run good? It is sufficently different from the original Wingman FF wheel? -- [email hidden] Damien Smith <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:ahtgsv$1005uv$[email hidden]... > It will, but the game will run very slowly with FF enabled. The official word from Logitech is that the original Wingman Formula Force lacks certain FF 'features.' Apparently these 'features' can be faked through drivers under Win9X but the Win2K/XP OS prevents this. Strange, eh? If you're in the market for a new wheel, the Thrustmaster Ferrari wheel is worth a look - quite similar to the LWFF. -- Damien Smith [email hidden] ICQ: 77028579 F1 2001 rank: -11.512
