Does the TB Santa Cruz sound card simulate 5.1 sound on titles that don't
have it?
Windows XP doesn't like my Philips AE sound card and I'm trying to deside if
I should a) get a new sound card b) go back to Win2k. I bought the AE
because at the time it was the only one I could find that would simulate
5.1. Unlike my SB Live 5.1 that I had. I really use the sounds almost as
much as the mirrors so I don't want to go backwards in that area, but I
really don't want to be stuck with an old O/S either.

Yes.
Just go to the main tab of the Sound Properties and enable the "Virtual 5.1"
button.
