Has anyone seen Nascar Heat for sale in the bargain bins? I looked at
Best Buy here, but no dice.
I don't/won't use Ebay.

CompUSA or somebody had it very cheap...like $9 us last week. I forget
where I was when I saw it...but it should be fairly inexpensive now.

Why not? Sometimes that's the easiest(or only) way to find something...

But not in this case. Lots at Wal-Mart, that I've seen, for less than $10.
Lots at Sam's Club too, even cheaper. I think I've also seen them at
Target.

True, in this case. But he seems to want to avoid Ebay totally. I've gotten
some great deals on stuff before, so I think it's a mistake to just write it
off as a resource...

I can't stand EBAY. Or more to the point the professional bidders if yo
will. It gets down right nuts when you have to have multiplue browser
windows open because you have to bid three times in the last 15 seconds of
an auction. I basicly lump them right up there with wreckers.

Actually, I've made a personal decision to never use credit cards,
either in real life or on the net. Having grown up in a very large
family in severe poverty, paying someone to use their money has never
quite made any sense to me.
I added the blurb about Ebay to avoid the inevitable posting of ebay
searches that always seem to occur in this group.

Fair enough. I wish I'd had enough sense to avoid debt earlier in life. If I
had, I wouldn't need it now.
However, credit cards aren't a problem as long as you can pay them off in full
each month. You can still take advantage of the convenience, and the ability
to order stuff online(or over the phone).

Ever heard of credit card skimming?
Agree with the convenience, but I'm always wary about who I'm giving the
number to (and I never let it out of my sight)

I'm not naive enough to believe that nothing bad can happen by ordering
something online. But that possibility is so remote that I don't worry about
it. I would never give the number to someone who 'cold called' me, but I don't
see a problem with ordering from most companies online.

Game Over Man....... :)
I found the easiest way to keep others from sticking my credit card
with unwanted bills is to keep it maxxed out. Actually my wife does that
for me. Even if some neer-do-well steals my number and tries to buy...they
will be denied.
