1:29.75 at probably the easiest of the minute thirty tracks...Zandvoort...but the real kicker is I'm now officially 1/100th of a second faster than Don...who although he probably hasn't run GPLrank for ages...is now officially behind me....Stick THAT in yer pipe and Smokeit! dave(still a slug)henrie
Say Whhattt?????? Man, I haven't run GPL in a long time, and barely remember submitting my lap times to GPL Rank. Wouldn't take much to have been faster than me :) Hmm, now I may have to load GPL back up on my new system..... Don't bother, buy the converter, run Zandvort on N2k, much more challenging <BG>. "Don Burnette" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:m_479.26717$[email hidden]... > Say Whhattt?????? > > Man, I haven't run GPL in a long time, and barely remember submitting mylap

Not easier to drive, but easier to drive UNDER 1:30. I think FF helps here more than any other track the flow from corner to corner. I didn't go out last night to set any pb's, (got two!) I was just checking the new skyline's I installed making sure the track still loaded. Ended up behind an ai who was jussssssst a little bit faster and tried to trail him for several laps... With Monza...I just haven't figured out the Lesmos and it will probably be quite some time before I get down under 1:30 there.

I just reinstalled GPL after not playing since Feb and I'm about a second off my PB's at every track except the Ring, where I've managed to knock another 5 seconds off somehow, and Zandy where I'm lucky if I can stay on the track for 3 laps. =) Jason ----- GPLRank 24.50 N2002Rank -12.995
zandy is the hardest of the 1.20s tracks IMO....also 29.75 surely f2? ive been 28.2 in F2 LOL.... P.S those F1 cars have 5gears might help your laptime..... jason moyer <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

LOL....easier to drive under 1.30.....surely it is as 1:30 is 8secs off the pace.... 1:30 at monza is only 3-4secs of the pace.... Putting tracks into time catagories LOL....is watkins glen also a 1:30 track.... I suppose nurby is a any time you want track, maybe sub 1 day.... Silverstone is for me - though I can't get *much* under 1:30 (PB just into the 1:27s), 1:29 isn't at all hard. Monza next up - if I could be bothered to drive the Lotus more often, I'd prbably be faster <g>. Zandy is the second hardest IMO - only Monaco is worse (still not under 1:30 there!). -- "After all, a mere thousand yards... such a harmless little knoll, really" - Raymond Mays on Shelsley Walsh. So when are you going to actually update GPLRank? I just checked and you haven't updated since July 11 of last year. You were one of my targets (battle of the tortoises) until I finally managed to sneak into the 90's. ;o) "Dave Henrie" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:QY%69.118736$UU1.21367@sccrnsc03... > 1:29.75 at probably the easiest of the minute thirty > tracks...Zandvoort...but the real kicker is I'm now officially 1/100thof a > second faster than Don...who although he probably hasn't run GPLrankfor > ages...is now officially behind me....Stick THAT in yer pipe andSmokeit! > dave(still a slug)henrie > >
Do a search for Dave Henrie, he's registered twice. Jason On Fri, 16 Aug 2002 12:28:27 -0400, "Haqsau" <[email hidden]> wrote:

He's commenting on my lumping Zandy in with Monza and Silverstone as "1minute Thirty" type tracks. By extention, since he apparently thinks I'm taking liberties with the time brackets, he is assuming I'll someday rank the Ring as a sub one minute track. Granted he has a good point about Zandy and the 1:30 category...except...this....I just got under 1: 30 for Zandvoort so for ME at least...:) it really IS a yasomta type track. The Ring announcement for me will be IF I ever skate into the HIGH 8 minute lap times. David just doesn't understand when he is in the prescence of TRUE MEDIOCRITY. <VBG> [oh and Dave...referring to another thread.... Of course I know how many gears are in a car. I began using the default setups with a Lotus. One by one I began slightly lowering the laptimes, except at the Ring. I have tried both the Ferrari and Lotus at Zandvoort and I'm much faster(relatively speaking that is) in a Ferrari there than in a Lotus.(Using Allison's Sweet Red Candy setups). As far as the Viagra... ;) dave henrie
Almost all of my PB's are in a Lotus, but I think I am going to give it up for a while. My consistency in the Lotus is so poor, and I crash so frequently, that it just isn't any fun. I can't even really handle the Eagle or the Ferrari that well. I think I just have a very insensitive right foot because I can run very consistent laps in the less powerful cars. Lately I have been driving the Brabham and having a blast. I actually set a PB at Mexico in it, and on most other tracks it's only about a second off my Lotus times. But anyway good luck with the Lotus, it's a sweet car if you can get it to behave. "Dave Henrie" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:5vQ79.70687$983.78577@rwcrnsc53... > >....
