As mentioned in other posts, it didn't for me with Audigy and XP. I really wish someone would sort this out. Iain "Brian" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Make sure you have the latest SB drivers, the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard, and you are running th latest patch for NR2002. If that fails, try turning down the hardware acceleration on the sound a nothc at a time until it goes away. -- Biz "Don't touch that please, your primitive intellect wouldn't understand alloys and compositions and,......things with molecular structures,....and the....." - Ash Henrichsen <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:3d63be3a$0$64850$[email hidden]... > SBLive value. > Dont know what to do. > Can you help? > > Martin > >
What Biz said plus reduce the number of sounds heard in N2k2. You shouldn't have to drop too many, try lowereing it just a couple and see if that helps. dave henrie (reducing the hardware acceleration of your SBlive is important too.l)
Also make sure that the sound is not turned up all the way in Windows settings. Turn it back to half or less and use the volume on your speakers to up the difference. "Dave Henrie" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:QX_89.191566$UU1.35876@sccrnsc03...

I seem to remember it having something to do with the VIDEO drivers used, believe it or not, so make sure these are up to date as well. HTH, Gerald
THANK YOU!! The suggetstion to turn down the Windows volumn actually helped! As I said earlier I have been fighting this problem since I got the game (haven't done the second patch as I don't race online..)..it ain't perfect yet but it is noticabley better than it was... **** Eat well, stay fit, die anyway......

Even IF you don't race online, I would still check out the 2nd patch. There was a bug introduced to the ai grip levels with the first patch. This alone justifies using the 2nd patch. Good luck. dave henrie
