I've been racing every night for the last four days on my Ras server with
guys like Ed White, George Sandman, Mitch A., Steve, Andreas, Doug H.,
Ymenard, Brian F., Seamus, Darf, and a bunch of others. The racing has been
SUPERB with you guys. Some of the things that have happened have been
amazing to be part of, or witness. :-o Most fun I've had racing online in a
few years. Not a single bad word or complaint by anyone either.

This little sim is so addicting. I am really amazed that we are not seeing
a bigger turnout.
Now I really gotta go get some sleep. Been working on about 3 hours sleep a
nite for the last 4 days. We are all gonna be homeless if this keeps up <G>
But regardless, I will be there again tomorrow nite!

I think we're going to have to get the LFS guys nominated for a Nobel
Peace Prize... they've unified RAS! I wonder if they're free to travel to
Palestine? ;o)
I've only just made the time to earn the points for the turbo.... and
scared myself sh*tless trying to get round a lap without losing the back
end. Reminds me of the first days of GPL all over again! Perhaps I ought
to stick to the basic cars, more my skill level I think!
Haven't raced online properly yet, but I've seen enough to be able to
imagine how good it could be.

PS While I'm thinking about it, LFS seems to be everything I hoped the
TOCA Touring Cars games would be when they were first previewed. Looked so
promising, but they were "just" fun games in the end. LFS gives us the
same style of racing but a *totally* different experience.
I got the full ,Government recommended ,4 hours sleep last nite. Whats the
problem? ;-)
I cant believe how fun it is to race in a tight pack...ALL THE WAY AROUND
THE TRACK FOR 3 LAPS RACE AFTER RACE !!! Banging doors, bumping and beeping
horns the whole way.
It has been extremely fun. Very clean races. Very addictive.
The scary part is that this is only a beta with 2 tracks and three cars.

This is a big reason why the racing is so good. These guys have very
obviously been there done that many times before.

Besides the guys you're racing with, the other things that contribute to
*fun* online racing are there, too. The cars aren't too difficult to set up
(you don't have to be an engineer) and the physics model is pretty good (the
cars don't feel, unlrealistically, like they're on ice)
I just downloaded the game last night and gave it a try. It looks like I'm
going to want to try this one online, too. Where can I go to race?

My thoughts entirely. After the first TOCA release there was no way
that I was going to touch any others unless I heard differently. This
game has the potential to be everything that those TOCA games failed to
achieve. It really feels like the same 'door banging' experience that I
see when I watch it on the box. Great fun, though the AI door banging
can be even more kamikaze than the real thing, lol! Gotta try this
online soon.
