Never tried it. Microsoft have been buying the rights to games so they
can get them released on only one console, the xbox, as well as the PC
in some cases (for example: Halo, DOA3). Sony do the same (for
example: GT3, The Getaway). Nobody employed by SCEE/A/I complains
about Sony, and nobody employed by Microsoft complains either. Natch.
I don't support inferior products, it was just one feature of the PS2
which is better than the xbox - sales. There are more, like the
controller, the size, the lack of flickbook rendering which is in
every PC and xbox in the land (due to the way PC graphics cards work),
and more. As for the PS3 being another 'let down' like the PS2, I
would be glad, because in my opinion the PS2 has not been a let down
at all, in fact it is a fantastic *** machine. If Sony replicate
that in the PS3, while adding 4 years of development, I will be
extremely happy. And they won't be getting any dollars from me, I want
my PAL PS3. And if all the independent developers gravitate towards
the PS3 in the same way as they have the PS2, I will be even more
happy.
When I said a few exceptions, I meant Halo and Rallisport Challenge,
which are the only xbox games I have enjoyed playing. When the PS2
reached a year old, I had a great deal more than 2 games which I
enjoyed playing, and some (for instance GT3) are so far ahead of the
two xbox games i mentioned in terms of sheer enjoyment and longevity
that the xbox pales in comparison to the year-old PS2. And I agree,
personal opinion.
Sorry. I didn't mean that you DID start spinning lies, I just meant
that I DIDN'T start, so therefore I can't stop. That's UK humour.
Sorry.
DOA3 uses the xbox's potential? Might as well throw it in the bin
now... I guess tit-physics are harder than I thought, even when they
are stored in the character animation. Need I mention that the DOA
series began on the PlayStation, until Microsoft bought out the series
because the xbox had no beat-em-ups, and Sony had Virtua Fighter 4 and
Tekken 4? The DOA dev team were happy to go, because VF and Tekken had
the Sony beat-em-up market, so they could get more sales on the xbox
as genre-leader. I don't really care about all three games, because I
am not a beat-em-up fan. Oh, and I suggest you write to the developers
of all the games I mentioned above, and tell them how much you hate
them diluting your *** experience, not using the potential of the
xbox, and how they can all***off back to Sony.
That may be so, but why did *I* touch a nerve? I didn't spread any
ridiculous lies, so there must be another reason.
