SSCRA96 ShootOut results

In qualifying, Gabe Salazar was the class of the field, putting his
Exide Ford Thunderbird on the pole.  

In the SharpShooter Race, new hot shoe Joe Farr took an easy victory
to advance to the ShootOut.

In the first session, Rick Johnson, J.D. Farr, and Joe Farr hooked up
and worked their way to the front.  In the end, it was Rick Johnson a
winner by .14 seconds over J.D. Farr.  Joe Farr eased home third.
Defending Champion Chris Keenan tangled with the shortshoot wall that
ended his night.

In the second session, Rick Johnson, JD Farr, and Joe Farr again made
their way to the front and worked past Toby Wilson who was on the
pole.  Rick Johnson held onto to win followed by Joe Farr and JD Farr.
Toby Wilson held onto 4th.

In the Final ShootOut, Rick Johnson again made his way to the front,
taking a 2 second victory over Joe Farr.  JD Farr came across 3rd, MP
Brown and Ed Rauch rounded out the top 5.

From last week at C***te, Shawn Kosloff took the Valvoline 300 and
Rick Johnson took the Winston Cup Lite victory.  Shawn Kosloff and Joe
Farr are tied for the Winston Cup points lead with Rick Johnson 5
Points behind.
